And the ESPY goes to...

Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner

...Caitlyn Jenner!

Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce, is set to receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at tonight's ESPY Awards in L.A. This evening will mark Jenner's first trip down the red carpet as "she".

While Jenner has certainly shown tremendous courage over the past few months, one might argue that the award, named for the tennis star turned AIDS activist, may have been better suited for the late Lauren Hill, who played freshman basketball at Mount St. Joseph through an inoperable brain tumor, or Noah Galloway, an Iraqi vet who lost limbs in the war, but went on to compete in various competitions.

NBC Sports Anchor Bob Costas is calling exploitation (or BS, however you wanna put it), citing the fact that Jenner hasn't been active in the sports world for quite some time.

The ESPN-ABC connection is also a possible factor.

Thoughts?
